Draft - Fruity guava. Cloudy gold and pink. Guava, a bright hit of sourness and a salty finish. Odd but nice.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out some spices, saison yeast and a touch of lacto. Flavour is very spicy, with lots of coriander upfront, followed by lacto and subdued saison yeast. Too much spiciness and not enough depth. It's okay.

On tap at VCBW Festival 2017, pours a filthy opaque murky orangey brown, no head - looks horrendous. Aroma brings out tons of pithy guava, like lacto and a hint of salt. Flavour follows suit, with lots of lacto, heaps of pith and just a hint of salt. Pithy and lacto-y on the finish. Decent stuff, but could use more salt and a cleaner flavour profile.

Yeasty tan. Low bitterness, bit resiny though. Malty but without any real malt signature. Sort of underwhelming and really not sure where the rye is or where the why is.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Cloudy orange color with large head. Dirty aroma, swamp water. Soft mouthfeel, moderately sweet; the malt profile is a bit spicy as expected, but there is too much residual yeast, giving some earthy feeling in the front and some asteingency in the final, then there is a light fruity rouch, some resiny hops, and hints of butter.
Messy.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours an opaque dark amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of earthiness from the rye, followed by bready malt and light hoppiness. Flavour is very earthy in the hop department, with intense bitterness and bready malt. Very earthy and bitter on the finish, too much so. Meh.

Bottle - Sweet caramel, dark toffee and earthy notes. Deep brown with a small beige head. Cocoa, plum and some sweetness with a light creamy hazelnut finish. .

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
The color is near black, with compact beige head. Dark caramel base, moderately sweet, roasty and nutty, with evident oak and its vanilla-like feeling; very creamy flavor, it tastes like lactose, or fudge, or vanilla-coffee ice cream. Some alcohol warmth in the end.
Weird beer, kind of random, but I’m enjoying it.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out lots of dark cherries and dark dried fruits in general, with a little oak and toasted caramel. Flavour is odd, with dried dark fruits such as prunes upfront. Quite a heavy malty, dark fruity sweetness that becomes rather cloying. Messy and uncoordinated, but not too bad.
