650 ml bottle. Pours a dark red/black with an orange tan head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is a blast of peat smoke - with a bit of smoked bacon. Flavors are similar with the addition of roasted malt and brown sugar, but not over the top. Definitely smooth after all the smoke. Warm finish. Nice.

Bottle, thanks Josh & Sunshine! 8 3 7 4 13 Nice vineous, smoke, leafy hops Dark brown , low head Medium chewy body, mellow mouthfeel Light perfume, nice hop aromatics, wooden notes, whiskeylike finish. Old rating: 8 3 8 3 14 Bottle. Chocolate, bitter roast, cherries, heavy smoke, barnyard leather and wood, salty umami, a bit of chili. Slightly thin on the tongue. Could need a bit of rich Hallertau on the front of the palate. Very interesting.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a deep dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma is heavily smoky, but in a more caramelized way, with peated malt, caramel and some roast. Flavour is heavy on caramel malt, smoked / peated malt, brown sugar and even some fairly prominent roasted malt. Thick, full-bodied palate with an awesome balance between the smoked malt and caramel. Surprisingly great.

Bottle from Central City Liquor Store, Surrey
Cloudy amber color, darker shade, with medium sized head. Aroma of caramelized malts. Lean mouthfeel, a bit less bodied than expected, with a quite good flavor od caramel, caramelized malts, a bit of toastiness, light biscuits; quite strong bitterness.

Draught at Malone’s Urban Drinkery, Vancouver
Hazy amber color, with creamy head. Mild aroma of rye, nice. Smooth mouthfeel, dry but not too much; quite good flavor of malt, cereals, rye, cookies; it has a light roastiness that may call for the Cascadian name; the hopping is balanced, providing some fruity quality.
It has some elegance; pleasant.

22 oz. bottle, split many ways, pours a cloudy orangey amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of skunky citrusy hops, vegetal notes (uh oh), and some toffee - really skunky and vegetal-like. Flavour is dominated by the vegetal notes, skunky hops and some toffee-like backing. Not the most refined or invigorating flavour profile. Decent local IPA.

Hazy amber, beige head.Nose is light honey, slightly piney. Piney fore, vague sweet mid, mild but lasting hop finish, rye notes. More of a Pale than an IPA
