Description
It’s 2015. Beer lovers and founders Michael Kennedy, Brian Siep, Tom St John and Greg Smith are frustrated by the lack of good craft beer produced in Paris and decide to do something about it. Their first collaboration is the Paname Brewery Taphouse in 19th district of Paris. It’s a success, and a few years later, in June 2018, they open a full production site at the Cité Fertile in the heart of Pantin, a historic industrial suburb reinventing itself at the edge of Paris.
Today, thanks to the efforts of Paname Brewing Company and others, the quality of the craft beer available in Paris is much better. The team will always be committed to making great beer, and now they have an additional mission. To support those who are reinventing and refreshing Paris, particularly in the east.

33cl bottle from Nicolas Nice Jean Médecin wine shop in Nice, France. Head is big, tan, good retention. Colour is gold, light hazy. Aroma citrus, floral, bit mango, pineapple. Taste is light malty base, orange, grapefruits, bit tropical fruits, bit harsh bitterness, dry on the palate, medium carbonation, ok partially enjoyed.

From bottle 30.07.21 at the rooftop terrasse of Les Piaules - Nation, which is the hostel I am staying at in Paris. Clear dark amber. Off-white head and lacing. Aroma of harsh malt, harsh caramel, old citrus and old and half-dru tropical fruits. Not great.

From tap 30.07.21 at the rooftop terrasse of Les Piaules - Nation, which is the hostel I am staying at in Paris. Unclear orange amber. Diminishing off-white head. Aroma and taste of tropical fruits, marmalade and pale malt. Drinkable and forgetable.

Rather plain. A bit muddled. Nothing special, below avg for the style. Paname Paris

Not a lot of “wit” character. It is clean and plain though. Made for the masses kind of beer. Paname Paris

On tap at Paname, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma is loaded with liquid dark chocolate - that smells nice. Flavour is perhaps less pristine, with tart dark chocolate. No roast at all, not is there any hint of alcohol. Nice liquid cocoa here, but the body is very weak and lacking oomph.

On tap at Paname, pours black with a reddish tinge and a small tan head. Aroma brings out earthy toasted malt, some strange funky notes, and earthy hops. Flavour is balanced decently between the earthy hops and medium roasted malt. Dry, earthy, and bitter. It's not bad.

On tap at Paname, pours a hazy copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out bitter piney hops and biscuity malt. Flavour is bitter, with earthy hops, biscuity malt and a little pine. Earthy and bitter. Not particularly inspiring.
