12 oz. can from the brewery. Thanks Ashley! Pours a crystal clear deep bronze color with a small khaki head and decent retention. Light, scattered lacing. Looks just like their Nugget Nectar. Very faint caramel malt aroma. The taste follows the nose, with sweet caramel malt flavor and a smooth, clean, mellow finish. Simple profile. Similar to an American Marzen. Medium body. Medium-light carbonation. Not bitter. Really good beer.

Bottle. Dark, amber color. Small head. Complex aroma, fruit cake, dried fruit. Taste slightly sweet. Fruit cake with notes of molasses.

Aromas are fairly mild dark malt, roast, yeast and Belgian candy sugar qualities. Flavors are similar to nose, again on the mild side. Slightly more sweet than bitter or carbonic tang. Nothing to distinctive. Good body and excellent carbonation. Not bad but kind of a disappointment.

Aromas are malt, spice, yeast and maybe a bit of white wine. Flavors are somewhat similar to nose and in the Belgian triple tradition but mild. A little bit more sweet than bitter and carbonic tang. Good body and excellent carbonation. Decent but a little pretentious.
