Clear golen/amber coloured body with a small light tan head with big bubbles. Strong pungent aroma of fresh floral and piney hops, along with some malt, cardboard and a bit more hops. Medium-bodied; Strong hoppy flavour full of pine and flowers followed by a very light malty flavour rounded out by some nuts and caramel. Aftertaste has more of the same, a rather dull malt taste and a light hop bitterness that seems to last. Overall, a decent beer - nothing more, nothing less. I definitely wouldn’t say this is one of my favourite IPAs, although I wouldn’t say this is an IPA at all. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased by my brother-in-law from Total Wine in Manassas, Virginia on 26-March-2007.

12oz Bottle Pours out a nice amber topped with a small head. WOW what a great HOP aroma. The aroma was Great but the tast not as hoppy as I was thinking it was going to be. Overall not to bad.

Bottle from MrBendo. Slightly hazy light orange body, thin off-white head. Fresh, bright, piney, grassy hops aroma. Like opening a fresh package of hops flowers. The same fresh, leafy hoppiness carries over to the body. Bright and clean, bitter, with a light bready malt backbone. Damn, this is very nice. Three great IPAs in two days. The other two (Tyranena Bitter Woman from Hell and New England Sea Hag) characterized by complex malts and a stew of hops varieties. This one by fresh, bright hops and a simpler malt backbone. There is diversity in this style to seek out, indeed.

(Bottle 35,5 cl) Pours a clear, dark brown with a reddish hue and a delicious, creamy, beige head leaving laces. Aroma of lightly burned malt. The body is medium with very dry, burned malty notes and a touch of coffee. Ends dry also. Courtesy of xproudfoot. 120207

Bottled. A deep red beer with a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel, hops, and coffee. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt, as well as lighter notes of alcohol and grapefruit, leading to a dry roasted end with notes of oatmeal lingering around. The body is a bit on the thin side inspite of the 6.8% ABV and the oatmeal.

Bottled. Clear pale ruby red colour with a minor beige head. Aroma is cherry, alcohol, wood and some plum. Flavour is wood, berries, fruits and some metal. For an 11% beer this is very thin and empty, but it hides the alcohol scaringly well.

Cherry red color, not much head. Sweet cherry and malty nose. Fruity - but only lightly - suprisingly thin and even metallic mouthfeel. Alcohol is not present very well. Too simple - expected more.

Bottle: Light copper color with a bubbly, smaller yet thick white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is sweet malt, fruity, and lots of citrus and floral hops. Taste starts off smooth with sweet malt and fruit. It grows a bit into a dry, citrus hop tail. Crisp finish, nice IPA. Hops certainly could have been more intense, thus the rating could have been higher. Thanks DocLock for sending this one.

Bottle (Courtesy of Adrian910ss): Poured a clear dark brown color beer with a small brown foamy head with minimal retention. Aroma of sweet malt with some dry figs and plums is very enjoyable. Taste is very sweet with good caramel malt and some dry figs and plums. I thought this was closer to a BW then a doppelbock though; I could not detect any of the banana or cloves characteristics that I usually associate with the style. Body is about average with medium carbonation and alcohol is well hidden.
