Hefig, weich, aromatisch, rund. Trockenes aber auch holziges Finish. 9/11/10/12/9/11

Hefig-bitterer, leicht bananiger Beginn.

9/10/12/9/9/9

Draft. An unclear dark golden beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes malt, yeast, fruit, straw, and lemons, leading to a lightly bitter finish.

Very surprised to see this Pilsner (and its Dunkel sister) on tap in the Greenwich Union: the Meantime Brewery tap house: Oct 2011. Reason being, I’d never heard of the brewery before. Had a half pint just to review it on here. This is one of the better Pilsner beers I’ve had and was certainly an improvement on the London Lager and Helles that Meantime had up against it on tap in their bar. This oozed classic Pilsner: the colour, smell, body and overall feel of it just seemed right. Served well and at a good chilled temp it slipped down far too well. I’ll not go into great detail (I only had a half don’t forget and I was on a mission to try a few brews that day), but this is well worth finding and trying if you get the chance.

Hazy orange to red colour with a big white head. Smells citrussy and hoppy. Tastes bitter and hoppy. Bit too much carbo for me, medium body.
