Description

(bottle) Hazy yellow to orange colour with a big fluffy white head. Sweet wheaty and banana fruity with aroma moderate clovy notes. Refreshing sweet and slightly sour flavour, light to medium bodied, well-carbonated. Wheaty and fruity taste with a smooth mouthfeel; almost dry fruity and slightly tart finish with restrained cloves. Nice summer Weizen.

Bottle: Pale golden, small foamy head; sweet-malty, a bit carboardy and a bit bitter nose; weak bitter-sweet flavour, light bodied to watery; short bitter, a bit metallic finish. Really not a great pleasure....

(bottle) Clear, very pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Slightly sweet malty and strawy aroma with notes of grassy hops. Medium sweet flavour, light to medium body, crispy carbonated mouthfeel. Malty and hoppy taste with a dry and slightly bitter finish. Clean but slim and most of all boring Helles.

Re-rate from bottle. Dark brown, offwhite head. Probably a bit spicier than last time. Minerally finish. Old rating: 6 3 7 3 12 Tap Cloudy brownish, Tanned creamy head. Light estery and yeasty aroma. Yeasty bready base, some grapes. Relatively light body - easy drinkable, somewhat one-dimensional.

Bottle: Mix of dark-malty and citrusy aromas; sweet flavour; mainly sweet, citrusy finish. Begins as beer, ends as a lemonade. Not really bad as a thirst-quencher....................

(Bottle 33 cl) Slightly hazy, golden beer with a creamy, white head leaving some laces. Weak aroma of malt. Very light and watery body. Flavour of slightly sweet malt with almost no bitterness. A thin affair indeed, but quenching all right. 031105

(Bottle 50 cl) Unclear, light brown with a thick, off-white head. Lightly sulphurous nose. Fruity notes dominate the flavour with a surprisingly dry finish. Drinkable but far from being a great Dunkelweizen. 221005

(Bottle 50 cl) Hazy amber golden with a small, creamy head. Strange aroma of..., well, I cannot really tell. Weak notes of wheat in the flavour, but otherwise completely dominated by sticky and artificially sweet citrus. Not pleasant. 221005

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, orangey golden with a thick, creamy head. Lightly tart, fruity aroma. Quite light-bodied with vague, fruity notes and a not too discreet tartness. Slightly watery. Not really my dream of a Hefe. 221005
