Tap at Prohibition Pig, Waterbury. Colour is clear orange with small white head. Aromas and flavours: Some fruits, pine, some hops and malts. Just like despriction says malty IPA.

Dark golden brown. 1 finger white head. Aroma is straight citra with oranges. Taste. Grassy, wheat, table sugar, honey and oats. Sweetness like crazy with some graham cracker.

The appearance was a nice dark brown color with a slim foamy little head that dissipated at a nice pace leaving some light spider web lacing running here and there around the glass.
The smell started off with roasty smooth coffee, cocoa beans and balancing in was the vanilla.
The flavor was basically the same with the sweetness of the vanilla bean coming forth just a tad more than in the smell.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation runs fairly light allowing a subtle sweet to roasty notes to engrave their mark on my tongue.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good porter showing the creativity of the brewer to bring in something slightly different. Nice job, I’d have again.

The appearance was a nice looking dark brown color with a slim finger’s worth of off white foamy head that dissipated pretty quickly. Adequate slightly foamy lacing.
The smell had all of the qualities of a porter with subtle balanced hints of candy cane and vanilla beans.
The taste was basically the same with more candy cane coming out a bit more. Subtle sweet cocoa and candy cane aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly light. Roasty notes lay down on my tongue.
Overall, I like the creativity of the brewer to bring in the candy cane, festive idea for the holidays. I’d have again.

The appearance was basically a dark brown color with a slim finger’s worth of off white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Lingering lacing slides into the beer.
The smell started off with some sweet and roasty smooth coffee and cocoa flavors. Subtle nuttiness slides in underneath.
The taste was mainly the same with a dry smooth connotation on the aftertaste and giving off a sweet sticky finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation runs fairly smooth.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good Brown ale that I would have again.

The appearance was a nice looking dark hazy burnt red color with lotsa nice lacing from a quickly dissipating white foamy head.
The smell had sweet caramel, toffee and chocolate malts.
The taste was basically the same with a fairly dry smooth sweet chocolate breadiness in the aftertaste. Light sweet finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. The carbonation seemed good for the style and for me.
Overall, I say this was a pretty good red ale that I would have again.

This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a burnt to golden orange color with a bar pour’s kind of thin little white head. Light lacing was here and there.
The smell had a nice sweet to bitter grapefruit and sharp bitter pine with extra citrus rolling into a super light malt backbone.
The taste was moderately sweet with a decent bitterness wanting to slide in for the balance but slightly just a tad staying in the background. Drying in the aftertaste with the citrus and leading on into the finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium in body with a decent sessionable feel rolling into the feel. Carbonation felt good for a DIPA and a nice bitterness hitting my tongue appropriately.
Overall, I’d say this was a nice DPA that I would have again.
