Description

Regional brewery that is very known for both it's own brands, as well as their contract brews.

In the period after 1850, the De Meester-Boelens brewery was founded at the current address in the Kerkstraat. in 1897 the name changed to Boelens-De Meester. Brewing stopped during World WarI, after the war the family continued the business as a bottling and beer enterprise. In 1978 Kris Boelens took over the beer business from his father. He reintroduced beer brewing in Belsele in 1993. In 2016 his son Yannick Boelens joined the brewery.

Troebel donkergeel bier met mooi stevig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en kruidig met iets van banaan, citrus, wat koriander en honing.

Fles gedeeld door Inoven. Het is een troebel geel bier met een dun wit schuim. Het heeft een aroma van citrus. De smaak is fruitig, citrus achtig met een fris zoete afdronk.

An unclear golden beer with a white head. Aroma of mild sweet and herbal strong pale malt, belgian yeast. Taste of herbal strong pale malt, grains, belgian yeast.

Bloe Belgian Blueberry Beer from Boelens

Dirty terra-cotta to purple beer with a thick, rather stable pale pink head. End of bottle solid deep purple (intended pun) deposit. Mild fruity nose with a faint if distinct grainy (malty, even bready) background. Rather dry, bitter, leafy flavour. Oakleaf, almost no fruitiness. Not tart, but wry, dry, woody. Fast finish. Very light slickness, light body, good carbonation. Drier than its predecessor, if still proudly flaunting its oxymoron: ...no flavouring added... sweetener: saccharin. Txs to Stef!
