Regional brewery that is very known for both it's own brands, as well as their contract brews.
In the period after 1850, the De Meester-Boelens brewery was founded at the current address in the Kerkstraat. in 1897 the name changed to Boelens-De Meester. Brewing stopped during World WarI, after the war the family continued the business as a bottling and beer enterprise. In 1978 Kris Boelens took over the beer business from his father. He reintroduced beer brewing in Belsele in 1993. In 2016 his son Yannick Boelens joined the brewery.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy golden with floating impurities and a white head. Comes a slow gushing. Sweet yeasty and spicy nose. Medium body, sweet malty and fruity - almost sugary, no spiciness in the flavour really. Alcoholic finish. 241009

33 cL bottle at DHVL Gardenparty and Beerfestival 2009. Pours hazy yellow to orange with a small white head. Aroma is cascade hops, citrusy, grapefruity and mild yeasty note. Smooth yeasty, light grapefruity and flavourful hoppy. Bitter and grapefruity/passionfruity flavoured finish.

Bottle @ Heeren Van Liedekercke, Denderleeuw. Pours a slightly hazy orange color with a small white head. Has a sweet malty spicy and slightly yeasty aroma. Sweet malty yeasty spicy flavor. Has a warming sweetish malty spicy finish.

Bottle 33cl.Light light unclear medium orange amber color with a average to large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, vegetable, light hoppy, light to moderate yeasty. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average duration. Bottle @ Dickie’s, Brugge. Pours a slightly hazy dark golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty spicy aroma with some weak hints of hops. Fruity malty yeasty spicy flavor. Has a fruity malty yeasty spicy finish.

Bottled. Pale yellowish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, mild yeast and also some earthy notes. Flavour is citrus, some yeast, earth and quite much spicy notes as well.

Bottled (at Chriso, BBE 2011, bottle from GBBF). As "Tripel Klok". Hazy yellow color, small white head. Citrusy, coriander aroma in the nose. A bit sour, mango fruity, some yeast, cardboard. Kind of unbalanced mix of spices, sour notes and sweetness.

Draught @ ZBF 2009, St.-Niklaas, Belgium. [ As Boelens Tripel Klok ]. Unclear medium yellow orange color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, fruity, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, moderate yeasty, peppery. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, and a peppery finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20090307]

Bottle at De Heeren van Liedekerke. A house beer. Pours dark amber brown with an off-white head. Brown malty aroma.. Medium body with frothy carbonation. Flavor is dark malt with enough hop to moderate. A very delicious brown ale.
