Smoked amber. Kinda like the session strength of my 10k beer (smoked barleywine). 12 ounce can from Belmont Party Supply. Clear amber, large foamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of smoke, toffee, and a tinny note. The taste is caramel, cherries, toast, mild smoke. Medium bodied, crisp. Solid.

Sample at Jungle Jim’s. The beer is a clear bronze color with a medium off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Stringy lace. Aroma of floral hops, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of floral hop, citrus and pale malts. The finish is mildly bitter with a fruity hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle at the RateBeer DC tasting. Poured a dark brown color with a small tan head. Aroma was nice roasted notes. Chocolate, some boozy bourbon, cocoa. Coffee notes, lightly bittered dark chocolate. Really nice.

50cl bottle pours a muddy brown/black with some tan head. Nose has booze, rootbeer, some anise, worm wood, malt, molasses, sumac. Flavors are sweet, caramel, rootbeer, some booze, anise, sumac. Thin finish.

Tap. Pours opaque black, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is super bourbon, vanilla, cherry, vanilla. Flavor is medium sweet, light bitter, rich and decadent. Full body, creamy. Really well crafted.
