Clear amber pour with an off-white head. Malty aroma. Taste is toasted malt, caramel, bread.

At the source. Oily, matte black, thin cocoa head. Coconut oil, creme de minthe intensity, thin dark chocolate nose. Crispy carb, oily & overly toasted coconut, big whiskey warmth & sweetness. Carrot. Earthy, itchy texture, sweet creme, some coffee-like oxidation, a bit too sharp. Really hot & belly warming. Barely okay. Not as good as the Xela coffee variant.

Adorable miniature 4 pint glass at the source. Black, opaque, thin cookie dough head. Earthy-sweet coffee roast. Rich dark chocolate nose. Sharp espresso, semi-sweet, deep chocolate, coffee cordial, bitter citrus pith & mid-high char on the tail. Long draw choco finish. Boozy. Good+.

Clear, metallic sheen, classy copper gold brew, pils glass at the source. Honey floral, slight dirty citrus & lightly onion nose. Bittersweet leaning sweet. Mild hopsicles, big floral & danky papaya, light aspirin on the tail. Good.

At the source. Slightly slighty hazy, lemon tea, ring of lace, stemless wine glass. Lemon iced tea, cinnamon, mellow floral, grassy, lime. Spiced, earthy, peach, lemon tea, light kettle obviousness. Meh. Started out good.

Half pour into a pils glass at the source. Clear, amber, active, thin froth. Big strawberry, faintly tropical, gentle pale ale cereal nose. Breakfast cereal. Bittersweet, leaning sweet. Obvious papaya & apple hookah over an earthy strawberry dank. Tasty.

Dimpled mug at the source. Clear, bright 14k gold, tall froth. Veggie, soapy floral, a little sharp. Soft, chewy cereal, mid bright hops, gentle malic sweetness, bready, slightly soapy, slightly briny. Okay to good. Solid value-sized pour.

Matte black, hazy, frothy, stemless tulip pour at the source on a crispy late afternoon. Dank, floral nose with some faint citrus pith. Taste is citra grapefruit pith & ugly cigarette ash. Sooty charred toast, very astringent & lingering bitter bite. Burnt peanut off flavor. Aspirin dies some as it warms. Off-dry, medium high acid, a bit of slickness on the follow. Expected better.

12 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a crystal clear dark bronze-gold color with a small beige head and decent retention. Only a few spots of lacing. Sweet caramel malt aroma. The taste follows the nose: Sweet caramel malt and toffee flavors throughout with a crisp finish. Good example of an American Marzen. Medium body. Medium+ carbonation. Not bitter. Nice beer.

In spite of the name, this is a pale lager, not a pilsner. 12 oz. can from H.E.B. Plus, Boerne, TX. Pours a clear pale yellow color with a tiny white head and poor retention. Zero lacing. Almost no aroma. Very grainy, carbonated, and light pale malt flavor. Lightly sweet. Kind of like a smoother Coors Light. Light, thin body. High carbonation. Not bitter. No off flavors. Just a very generic light beer.
