“Deandra. That's not gonna be my future. I'm not gonna be buried in a grave. When I'm dead, just throw me in the trash.”
Nice Doppelbock. Bit thin, but good flavor.

Can. Pours extremely hazy lemon yellow with large foamy off-white head, citrus peel-pineapple aroma, low carbonation, mildly bitter citrus peel-pineapple taste, light caramel, smooth body, long finish with caramel aftertaste. Interesting brew.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a very large, but super fast-fading light brown and tan head that looks like soda and the only real difference is that there is a very small tan lace on the sides, but the head starts high and fades very quickly - as you pour. Aroma of almost all pure sugars here with molasses, pitted fruits, prunes, raisins, figs, earth, caramel, coffee and a bit of pure brown sugar here, all with some moderate yeast and alcohol scents, but the sugars are pungent. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich sugars dominate in the flavour as well with a lot of prunes, plums, raisins, molasses and caramelised sugars all here along with some nutty and earthy components, a dash of yeast and bread here as well with some support from the strong malts, but the alcohol and sugars are pungent here and don't fade quickly. Aftertaste shows the sugars front and centre with a lot of grainy malt support and some earthiness along with a slightly rustic finish, but the sugars show strongly at the end as well and with the alcohol, give a pungent and robust beer, even after three years in the can. Overall, a nice and pungent, strong and flavourful beer that has some moderate complexity, but just a large swath of flavours, most of the strong ones coming from sugar-related notes, but there is some fruit, yeast and alcohol here too of course. A nice beer and definitely good to sample, but not the most robust or complex for the style, but this style covers some great beers! I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can (perhaps too large of a format for this one) purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 23-June-2019 for US$3,49 canned on 24-September-2018 and sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-June-2022, exactly three years after purchase. Fairly hazy deep pink and ruby coloured body with a thick, three to four centimetre tall light pink coloured head that fades quickly and barely covers the top after a few seconds. Aroma of deep cherries, tart fruits, a light dash of malty and yeastie profile with some light acidic candy and a touch of flowers of hibiscus to add to the tartiness. Light-bodied; Very tart, but super funky, floral and perfumey quality that shows way more of the hibiscus and floral characteristics than the cherry notes and much less of the malts or body than anything else - this is very thin, funky and dry. Aftertaste shows the lighter soured and tart notes, a dash of bitterness and an easy-drinking profile with literally no malts and only a sliver of sweetness, all from the fruits. Overall, a fairly mild and subdued beer that has some tart notes, but not really from the cherries and only a touch of malts make this easy-to-drink, but very simple throughout. I sampled this sixteen ounce, pint-sized can, purchased from Joe Canal's in Lawrenceville, New Jersey on 21-December-2020 for US$3,79 sampled at my house here in Washington on 27-May-2021 in advance of leaving for the weekend here on Memorial Day 2021.
