Jan 2009: from BA. Found this beer in an Oriental Supermarket in Ghent, Belgium. The well used, obviously returnable orangey brown bottle held 500ml of beer, the rear label quoted 6.46% ABV. Poured into a ’La Chouffe’ tulip glass three times. Very pale urine colour with a good clean white foaming head on each pour. Carbonisation bubbles rising through the weak looking body throughout the review. The heads fell away from their original large toppings to a thinner but still deep covering. No aroma for me, not even a hint of malts, so it got my normal 3 for a non smelling lager style beer. There is a smattering of hops and malt in the taste but other than that nothing I could find at all. The alcohol is evident from the outset and because the beer is so thin in the mouthfeel and without any body, it takes over very easily and becomes the main feature. I’m no expert on this style but this can’t be a good example surely?

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear pale gold with minimal head. Aroma of light hops and a little sour apple. Taste is very lightly bitter and very lightly sweet. Light bodied with a thin texture. Fizzy carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, I’ve had worse. But another country gets checked off the list.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours light gold with a foamy/creamy white head. Aroma is bready with some grassy/herby hop. Med minus body. Flavor is lightly bready with some very mild hop. Doesn’t really come together for me.

Somewhat grassy, corny aroma. Thinh golden color with a white head that laces a bit. Decent mouthfeel. Taste is clean, but virtually non-existant. There is a very light sweetness, and there is offsetting hop in the finish. Just not much of anything though.

Aroma has some cereal and corn notes. Totally watery taste. Only some mild maltiness is detectable and a slightly bitter aftertaste.

330 ml can, in Bali, brewed under licence by PT Delta, Indonesia. ABV is 4.9%. Pale golden colour, low white head. Weak aroma, some "dusty" malts. Fizzy mouthfeel. Bland pale lager flavour, at least it is not too sweet. Boring.

330 ml can, brewed under licence by PT Delta, Indonesia. ABV is 4.9%. Clear pale yellow colour, low white head. Sweetish "industrial" aroma, notes of artificial candy. Thin and fizzy mouthfeel. Nearly void of flavour, quite dry, only a touch of sweetness in the background. One to forget.

33 cl bottle. Rated on 30.03.2010
Pale and bright. Stale aroma with some grainy malt. Flavour is rather light with some bitterness, grainy malt and hints of sourness. Reminds me a bit of Finnish bulk lagers – very easy to drink and even more easy to forget.

Bottle courtesy of Beerandblues3 at the Baltimore Irish Chanukah tasting, 3/17/12. Pours a clear dark reddish brown color with a large tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of Aroma of roasted and leafy hops. The taste is chocolate, grainy malts, leafy hops. Medium bodied. Is it wrong that I like this?
