473ml can. Jet black colour with small, creamy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Roasty and chocolately, dark malty, slightly caramel malty aroma, hints of dark caramel, toffee, a touch of coffee. Taste is sweet-ish, caramel malty, slightly chocolately, dark malty, notes of toffee, caramel, some chocolate; minimally warming, alcoholic finish. Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft palate, medium to fine, dense, mildly prickly carbonation. Sweet, homogeneous, a tad too simple and monotonous for the style - fairly tasty, but not so special that it is worth to expose your liver to that amount of alcohol.

12 ounce can. Number one with a bullet. Opaque dark brown color. Frothy tan head settles to a thin cap. Aroma of roasted malt, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger and clove. Flavor is sweet roasted malt, cocoa and Al the aforementioned spices. Rather smooth for the high ABV. The spices are out front, yet not overwhelming.

500 ml bottle from Muckraker, 11/27/24. Pours red, with a thin, fizzy head. Tart and blackberry-forward, funky, a little sweet. Wood notes. Punchy. Lively. Good stuff.

750 ml bottle from Muckraker, 11/22/24. Bottled Winter 20/21. Funky, with plenty of lemon flavor, quite herbal, with some wood, and floral notes. Flavorful stuff. Rather funky, with a tart and sour close. Well made and enjoyable.

Bottle from source: pours reddish with barely any head. Aroma is blackberry and wood and funk. Not sour or acidic. Blackberry and plenty of it. Not sweet.

Bottle: pours reddish maroon with sediment. Aroma is blueberries, vinegar, funk and vanilla. Taste is sort of sour, lightly sweet and accentuated by the vanilla. Nice.

Draught at Alias: pours black with beige head. Aroma is coconut and chocolate. Some dark fruitiness. Robust with light bitterness. Nice aftertaste. Balanced and not overdone.
