Cloudy medium papaya orange body, thin but tight cream head. Aroma mixed tropical fruit. Body soft and creamy with a juicy burst of carambola, papaya, kumquats, and hints of lemon and lime; also gum/candy. Nice complexity and mouthfeel.

On tap at DownTime taps, pours motor oil jet black with a tiny tan head. Aroma is dominated by burnt sugars, molasses, and burnt roasted malt. Flavour is a bit rough and harsh, with loads of burnt sugars, molasses, roasted malt, and caramel. The sweetness is fairly low, having seemingly been fermented out and burnt. Finishes fairly boozy and burnt. But still, it somehow works to an extent. Far from a refined impie but nicely done nonetheless.

Pint can from Niemuth’s, 8/20/23. New brewery! Brewery # 2216, USA # 1813, NJ # 14. Murky orange, medium white head, average retention. Aroma of citrus, pale malt. Taste is melon, grapefruit, lime, pale malt. Thin. Meh.

Can pour shared by Steve. It's an inky black with ring of off-white head. Aroma is nice roasted malt, hints of dark fruit, coconut, nut. Taste is strong roasted malt, dark fruit, vague nut. Mouthfeel is full bodied with thick texture, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Alcohol is well hidden. Nice for non-adjunct stout.

16 oz can. Aroma is mild roasted grain and mild tobacco. Flavor profile of caramel, raisin, earth, and tobacco. Pretty good variety of flavors. Body is thick with a silky texture. A nice base imperial Stout.

16oz can from Tavour. Muddy brown pour, very little head to speak of.Aroma wa slight roasty malts and some chocolate. Taste doesn't defvate too much, some of the Scottish notes coming through, caramel. Overall, I wasn't overly impressed with this.
