Can from the brewery. Looks like fermentation problems, just dull, slight haze, terrible colour really. It's okay, there's some fruity hop to it, going in a pineapple sort of direction. Malts are meh. Kind of an off-dry finish, not bringing much to the table. Not at all up to the standard of ABC's IPAs.

Not familiar with the Salvo thing, nor have I ever had a beer before with Solero hops, so this is pretty cool. Orangey and opaque. Thick head. Bright orangey, grapefruity, kumquaty citrus bomb. On the palate, big body, lots of alcohol. Fairly sweet malt profile, but also a lot of that green bitterness and some hop burn. Assertive TIPA, even with only medium bitterness. The citrusy aromatics of the hops are appreciated, if the burlier aspects of the TIPA style overpower the hop expression a bit too much on the palate.

Pallid colour, aroma has sort of an industrial acetaldehyde thing. On the palate, it's heavy on the lacto, light bodied, a bit of apple and a bit of pear and some celery. It fits the berliner weisse style, but I wouldn't say it's all that compelling...some off notes, not much complexity, nowhere to hide.

Pale with some haze. Thin head. Lean pale malt, crackery and a bit bready. Lots of bitterness. Weedy, with some stone fruit accents. Bitter, hoppy finish with a bit of rambutan brightness. Might be a bit sweet, as is the norm with ABC, but the hops are quality throughout.

I guess the fresh hop cryo thing is frozen fresh hops? Hazy dull pale. Medium head. Lots of papaya, passionfruit and stone fruit in the nose. Moderate bitterness and the malts seem underattentuated, so it comes across quite sweet. Still some of those nice fruit notes, though they are competing on the palate with the malts, to the detriment of the overall balance.

Poured from 473mL can (pkg 28 July 2022). Clear blonde gold with white head. Hay and cracker malt, a touch grassy, clean and crisp.

Blond colour, pale-ish, clean, with large bubbles, small frothy head; yes, it looks like a random Lager. The aroma is weird, there's some sulfur, farts, then timid piney hops. Dry mouthfeel, some crisp element, but nothing impressive about the malt; again, light sulfur note here too; bold bitterness, with some piney note.

Pale blond colour, hazy. It's clearly not German, but, at least for once, a local beer with multiple layers; hay, grass, toasted rice, traces of honey, malt; it's crisp and it has a good bitterness level; this is ephemeral, but it's pretty good today.

Good mouthfeel, it's off-dry, not weak; some bread crust, that would be probably good, but the hopping takes it in the wrong direction; there is no brightness, just some herbaceous character, some hop resins, and purposeless bitterness in the finish.
It's a modern West Coast IPA, but the execution is not as good as one would hope for.

Soft carbonation (I think I needed more, tonight); the malt and oats base is very muddy; the hop is fruity, but mostly it's bitter citrus peel, strong pith, so there is no lack of bitterness here, but for the wrong reasons; bitter grass.
Dirty. This beer is the perfect example to explain why NEIPA is inferior to West Coast IPA, in general.
