Description
Cedar Cider is a farm based cidery located in the Hazelmere Valley, South Surrey, British Columbia. Our focus is on 100% organic farming practices, growing heritage trees and picking the fruit by hand. We produce small batch natural ciders, using wild yeasts, barrel aging and barrel ferments to obtain complex flavours highlighting the unique qualities of the fruits. All of our product is unpasteurized and unfiltered, with no sugars or acids added. Best kept cold.
Our orchards were established to include dessert, bittersweet, and bittersharp apple varieties grown from heirloom and heritage trees. The orchards are located in the Campbell River Valley, along the Fraser River in Agassiz, and the north Arrow Lake in British Columbia. The inspiration for natural ciders comes from a history and enjoyment of basque and west country styles from the old world.

The aroma is nice earthy fruit skin, has hints of tobacco. There's great pink foam on top of a medium red cloudy body. Flavour is nice soft fruitiness, well balanced, just the right amount of sweetness. Crisp carbonation and tannins linger on the mouth. This is very nice, well constructed.

Very light yellow body, heavy carbonation, okay foam. Smells well of passionfruit. Flavour is nice mellow passionfruit, not too sweet, tannins present. Full on the mouth. Quite nice, refreshing.

The aroma is soft apple, some skin, has mellow light yellow body and little foam. Flavour is soft apple of no distinction. Mouthfeel is okay, some tannins present make it interesting. It's kind of boring, but drinkable.

Nice foam on a cloudy white body, nice carbonation of smaller bubbles. Smells of soft pineapple funk and apple funk with hay thrown in. Flavour is soft fresh pineapple notes and mellow vague apples in the background. Quite subtle and nice, alcohol is hidden well and it's not the sugar bomb I expected.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Very pale colour, hazy. It doesn't even smell or taste like passion fruit, but it has some tropical fruit touch. Dry, weak, tart. Touch of pear. Ok drink.

Very pale with a slight haze. Smells like passionfruit and apple, which makes sense. Light body. Passionfruit, light apple, and a nice balance between the two. There's nothing else there at all, but hey, it's as advertised.
