As outdoor enthusiasts we like to get out and experience the world; this is the thinking behind Container Brewing. We want to give people the ability to enjoy good beer anywhere by providing you with only cans of our best products.
We’re building a lounge where you can sit and drink your beer, have a bite to eat, while enjoying good conversation. Our unique space will have you thinking about where to sit before you even arrive.
Our Head Brewer, Tim Juul, comes to Vancouver with a different perspective. His brewing techniques, and recipe styles, come from his experience in the New England area. We love what he's done for us so far and we know you will too.

473 ml can. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of fruity Belgian yeast with subtle esters, plus a bit of spice and bready malts. Flavors follow same though quite sweet with burnt/dried fruit.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear gold with white head. Aroma has esters. Flavour has esters, some chemical bitterness, sweet malts. Low carbonation. The bitter chemical flavour ruins the beer for me. This is not very good.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear pale gold with a white head. Aroma has pale toasted malt. Flavour has slightly toasted pale malt. Crisp finish, though a bit heavy overall. Not bad, but nothing exciting either.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours cloudy yellow with white nitro head. Aroma has fresh pine and light tropical fruit. Flavour has pine and orange citrus. Mouthfeel is pretty smooth. Profile is a bit muddled on account of the style, but the underlying hop expression seems pretty decent. Hop burn on the finish. Booo.

Flight pour at brewery. Pours clear blonde with white head. Aroma has very light minerals and fibres. Flavour has straw, minerals. Pretty boring, but I also don't have a great measure for the style.

473 ml can. Pours a dull copper color with moderate head. Aromas of soft muddled fruit and doughy malts with a bit of pine. Flavors of wet toasted malts and light fruity caramel. Heavy/full - is that the potatoes?

Poured from 473mL can. Clear amber brown with light beige head. Furniture oak, some dried fruit and bourbon with a hint of vanilla. The oak overpowers here and is inferior quality, unbalanced, but each of the individual flavours are fine. Room for improvement.

473mL can. Pours clear amber with a beige head. Aroma has dried fruit, vanilla, oak, and bourbon. Flavour has charred oak, dried fruit, burnt toffee, bourbon. Quite dry and has a lot of the bourbon barrel; needs a bit of work, but still pretty good.

473mL can, pours a clear dark reddish brown with a small off-white head. Aroma has a nice toasted/charred oak character upfront, with light vanillin, lots of toasted chestnuts, some caramel, toffee, and bready malt. Flavour is quite dry, with toasted chestnuts, dry caramel, bready malt, plenty of charred oak, plenty of vanilla, and finishing dry and somewhat boozy. The palate is on the thinner side, and there's pretty low residual sweetness for a barley wine. But there's some nice flavours here, and everything is fairly well-integrated. Not bad really.
