Taster. Appearance: murky blonde with a white head. Aroma: guava and other tropical fruits. Taste: al9ng the same lines, very fruity with noticeable tropical fruity bitterness. Overall: quite good.

I had to double check with the counter staff that yes indeed, they are offering two separate imperial stouts this afternoon. Good muddy brown body nearing black, minimal beige foam. Fascinating aroma that sits between fresh cola soda and heavily sugared Italian espresso. Flavour is more sweet cola bolstered by heavy sweet barley and espresso notes. Great mouthfeel. This brewery has done a 180 in the past few months and I am very impressed. Teething issues resolved? Did they complete their course down at the KPU brewing lab? On this recent visit, their stuff is in another league entirely.

Foggy yellow and good foam, tart sour fruit funk on the nose of no distinction. Flavour is good tart guava and soft sour hop hints. Good crispness on the mouth. Miles ahead of their other lighter beers; did they hire a new brewer?

Muddy brown body and a bit of beige foam, sweet barley on the nose, chewy, not quite syrupy. Flavour is bright and sweet barley, chocolate syrup, coffee notes. Big and smooth alcohol is well hidden, they outdid themselves here.

Miding gold and okay fast disappearing foam, mellow sweet hops on the nose with a hint of vegetable. Flavour is sweet hops with a bit of farty aftertaste. Otherwise okay, a funky and earthy IPA and pretty straight ahead.

Okay clear gold and soft foam on top, sweet nail polish on the nose but somehow not boozy. Flavour is harsh alcohol with hops running down the street, further away. Dry finish, but this stuff tastes flammable. Luckily they don't allow smoking in this joint.

Cloudy yellow and a bit of foam, sour bitter hops on the nose. Flavour is sweet hops with a cloying fruit aftertaste. Just okay otherwise but that sugary mess grows on me, a chewy pile of funky hops here.

On tap at Electric Bicycle, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out deep roasted malt, with dry oats, and a hint of cocoa. Flavour is rich and robust, with heavy roasted malt, light earthy notes, hearty oats, and dry cocoa. Beautifully constructed, dry, roasted and deep. Damn, what the hell? This is excellent.
