Uit een blikje in Trinidad, Cuba op 17-2-24. Op terras van grote bar met open dak. Op deel aan straatkant gezeten. Niet bijzonder, gewoon pils.

Bottle. Not blonde, but brown with a small but dense near white head. Aroma of apple peel, some spices and orange peel. Medium bodied and sweet before a moderately spicy & bitter finish. Some stewed fruit that distinguishes it from a strong Euro lager. Not so good.

500ml bottle. Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is dried banana, wheat, clove. Taste is light sweet, bananas, wheat. Light bitter finish. Light to medium bodied. Good value for money at around a euro.

Sometimes you just need to try the dodgy 10% lager that comes in a plastic soda bottle, has shitloads of sediment, and costs $1.49 🤷‍♂️

Huge thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks simple but good. Beer in the glass with a small head. Intense sweetish malty aroma. Starts fine malty, shy roasty, quite sweet. Some chocolate, some sweets. Finish well balanced. Okay.

Helder lichtgeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is licht bitterzoet en vrij zwak met een heel zwakke karamel smaak. Standaard goedkoop supermarkt bier maar goed drinkbaar, zeker voor deze prijs.
