Black colour with compact brown head. Moderate roasted malt character, light coffee, smooth mouthfeel, with medium residual sugar; very light green pepper, and slightly metallic in the finish. Honorable effort.

On tap at Tinhouse, pours an opaque cloudy yellow with a medium white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, chalky notes, and biscuity malt. Flavour is crisp, with earthy and piney hops, and biscuity malt. Not bad. Definitely doesn't have the chalkiness that a lot of other hazies. Decent.

On tap at Tinhouse, pours black with a small brown head. Aroma brings out bitter roast, some earthy notes and bitter hops. Flavour is very bitter, with lots of bitter earthy hops, roasted malt, and some felt. That felt-like astringency is a little bothersome. It's got a sturdy structure and some nice elements, but also some discernible flaws. Not bad but needs a lot of work.

Smells of chewy caramel, soft hops, slight candied cabbage with good foam on a deep coppery clear gold body. Flavour is smooth creamy malt, sweet hops, sugary milk, takes a bit to get used to, some hazelnut notes. There's nice lingering hazelnut, the abv very well hidden. Not what I expected but still clean and drinkable.
