Deep dark brown coloured body with a rich, thick, two to three centimetre tall, soapy and large-bubbled rich brown head. Aroma of tons of nuts, lactose, peanut butter, cream, chocolate and even some light spices that give a bunch of flavour. Medium-bodied; Strong rich nutty and chocolate flavours dominate with a lot of cream and lactose throughout along with a dash of floral and grassy notes on the finish, perhaps from some lighter alpha acid hops. Aftertaste shows the nuts, earth, toffee and especially creamy and lactose notes with a tiny bit of the chocolate and even coffe noticeable at the very end. Overall, a good and very flavourful, full-of-character beer that shows a lot of quality without being cloying or too strong. Very nice to sample, and even though I could usually find these on the East Coast, this is the first I've seen of this beer, here in L.A. I sampled this twelve ounce, stubby bottle, purchased from Whole Foods in Beverly Hills (Los Angeles), California on 26-December-2019 for US$2,75 sampled in my hotel room here in Downtown Los Angeles, California on 27-December-2019.

12oz Bottle, drank on 22nd Dec 2019 while at my daughters in California. Hazy amber body, smooth white blanket of foam on top. Hop centric aroma and taste, both resinous piney and citrusy in nature. Mild malty base for the hops to play on.

Tap at the brewpub. Pours dark brn/blk with a slight tan head. Aroma has some peanuttiness. Med body at least. Flavor is peanuttiness with smooth silky dark malt. Not dry, but not sticky. No bitterness worth speaking about. The peanut part is not overdone, and it comes out fairly tasty.

Can from Corti Bros. Pours bright gold with a creamy white head. Mild citrus/pine aroma over some mildly roasty pale malt. Med body or so. Flavor is moderate citrus/pine. Mildly roasty caramel support. Not at all sweet. Decently bitter. I call Old School. But that's a good school. Good tasting stuff.
