A bit thin but goes well with buffalo bleu cheese cheeseburgers

$1.99 can, WM. Slightly hazy golden with a soft off-white head. Aroma is watermelon, light vomit, wheat. Flavor is artificial as hell... watermelon, white bread crust, banana, wheat/cereal. You know, it's not bad, but I can't imagine any of the flavors I'm tasting are natural (except maybe the cereal).

Bottle from Mitsuya's. Very clear, golden amber colour, bubbly golden head. Aroma is doughy, but of spice, bready malt. Maybe slightly floral. Taste is quite subtle and maybe a bit one dimensional, but quite nice. Bit of caramel, bit of malt. Quite smooth. Just a hint of a hoppy prickle at the end. Quite simple but nice and easy drinking. Maybe it lost a bit of spike in the trip over here, but I still like it.

Bottle from Mitsuyas. Pale golden colour, very clear. Not much off-white head. Aroma is immediately full on tangerine. Little bit of sweetness, some white pepper. Not bad. Taste is less tangerine though. Much more grainy, with just a hint of the tangerine. Much less fruity than the aroma. Something creamy too. Bit of a let down. Sweetness is a little bit sickly after a while. I wanted to like it, initially enjoyed the aroma, but I probably won't have another. Not horrible, just not that nice. Not crisp as the description says, but maybe it lost something on the way.

12 ounce can from Woodman's Appleton, 9/2/19. Canned a while ago (12/13/18) so I'll give it some credit. But this brewery is always on clearance. They're long past their prime. If any brewery reeks breweries you drank when you joined RateBeer over 11 years ago and don't still drink today it's this one. Indeed most of my ratings seem to be from 2008-2009. More power to them, I guess. Obviously something is going right. Onto this one... Hazy orange, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of floral, leafy hops, caramel, grapefruit. Taste is toffee, grapefruit, lime, pine. Medium bodied, strong lingering bitterness. Old school and a bit old, but a good strong classic DIPA. Good way to end the night (er... early morning).
