Poured from the tap. Slightly hazed bright orange with minimal white head. Fairly malty, there are some very feint grassy hops, but the malt really covers it all up. What’s the point of fresh hopping if it’s going to be completely overpowered by the malt?

Poured from the tap. Clear gold with small white head. Astingent, weak citrus hops, sweet caramel malt backing, feint hint of soap. Out of balance.

Poured from the tap. Cloudy yellow with minimal white head. Stone fruit and some tropical hops with a mild pithy finish. Decent, especially for Faculty.

16oz @ Alex's. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: moderately sweet, some roasted malts and dark fruits, a bit of chocolate. Taste: along the same lines, pretty good body, a bit dry in the finish, dark chocolate. Overall: good one.

473mL can, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out dry cocoa nibs and dry medium roast. Flavour brings out cocoa nibs, earthy roasted malt, and a touch of vanilla. Surprisingly tasty. Not the most intense or full-bodied but clean and tasty.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Blond colour, with an orange shade, cloudy to murky. The aroma is remarkably fruity for Faculty, tropical fruits, pineapple juice. Good body strength, there is still some residual sugar, and the oats component is not too evident, fortunately; there is some good hop juice, leaning towards orange pith in the finish.
Overall, it's a bit rough, but it has some flavour, it's enjoyable

Hazy lighter gold body and okay foam. Mellow piney hops on the nose, rather weak. Taste is modest pine, weak grain, ending wet. This is the kind of beer you drink during an existential crisis, so if you're in one that's great, otherwise it's best to avoid.

Mostly clear light gold body and modest foam. Soft sour grain aroma, vague hops, a little wet. Taste is softly sour grain, a bit of yeast. Ends empty and smooth. Seems vapid, and might fit right in around this area.
