Sweet flavour of lightly roasted malt, black currant, plum, dark chocolate, raisin and date in a dry, mild bitter, smoky finish. Medium body with a creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Delicious, nicely done.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark red-brown with a medium, creamy, short lived, beige head that laces. Mild aroma of grainy dark malt, cherry, light chocolate and a hint of nuts. Sweet flavour of dark malt, cherry, chocolate, tart cranberry and lacto in a dry, slightly acidic finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Decent.

473ml can. Pours a hazy pale gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy lacing. Sweet fruity aroma of bready caramel malt, pineapple, apricot, mango and tangerine. Sweet fruity flavour of bready caramel malt, apricot, mango, tangerine, mandarin orange, pineapple and oats in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and soft carbonation. Pretty juicy. I tried the East Coast version yesterday and would say it won the battle by a slight margin.

Sweet flavour of bready caramel malt, grapefruit, orange rind and pine resin in a dry, bitter hoppy finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and average carbonation. Flavourful, nicely done.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold-yellow with yeast chunks that sink to the bottom and a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves thick patches of lace. Sweet aroma of grainy pale malt, pineapple, tangerine, pine needles, earthy yeast and weedy hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy pale malt, orange, tangerine, white grapefruit, pine needles, earthy yeast and weedy hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with an oily texture and average carbonation. The aroma is a little on the mild side, but a pretty tasty NEPA.

Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and average carbonation. Not bad. A slight improvement on the 5 Hundie.

On tap at O.T., pours a hazy dark amber with a small white head. Aroma is very American-style, with loads of resinous hops, caramel malt, and a little brown sugar. Flavour is rich, with lots of caramel, resinous hops galore, a little molasses, and brown suar. This hearkens back to a good old American barley wine from a decade ago--good to see something like this out there now. Well-rounded, bold, yet not brutal. Excellent.

On tap at O.T., pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out earthy malt and a hint of cocoa. Flavour is fairly dry, with earthy malt, dusty dry cocoa, and crusty bread. Dry and earthy finish. Solid.

On tap at O.T., pours a clear pale blonde with a large white head. Nose brings out grass, herbal notes, and straw. Flavour is full of grassy notes, a little herbal character, and crisp crackery malt. Clean and drinkable. Good stuff.
