Dull medium amber colour. Thick head. Fairy chewy malt profile, caramel, biscuits, not ideal for hüll melon, honestly. Lighter on the bitterness. Has a fresh hop note, light melon. Malts aren't as chewy as expected. It's not bad all told.

473 ml can. Pours a copper color with moderate head. Aromas of soft tropical fruit, a bit of pine and toasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional soap.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a fairy cloudy dark mahogany / muddled brown with a small beige head. Aroma is estery, with candi sugar, Belgian yeast, light floral notes, toasted nuts, and bready toffee. Flavour is somewhat boozy, with bready toffee, Belgian candi sugar, toasted nuts, and floral notes. Boozy, sugary and just not on point. Drinkable, but nothing I'd want to drink.

Can. Amber colour, kind of murky, but a thin head. The aroma has a bit of burnt electric wire, maybe some fruit. There's a bit of bitterness but not as much as advertised. There's some candied fruit, including the melon. The malts aren't really backing this up, though...golden promise is good stuff but the fermentation isn't up to par here.

Can from High Point, Vancouver
Dark blond colour, clean, with compact head, persistent. Mild hops aroma. Good malt base, bready, strong, with accents of toasted grains and toffee, but the mouthfeel is dry, so it doesn't get sticky; bold bitterness, there are resinous accents, but not much hop aromatics.
Overall, it's solid.
