473 ml can. Pours gold with full foamy head. Aromas of biscuity malts and very soft faint hops. Flavors follow same; malt forward, almost doughy will a little fruitiness. Clean but boring.

Dark brown, not much head. Pours a bit thin. Has a nice Mexican chocolate nose. On the palate, it's quite sweet, sugary. Lots of cinnamon and light chile. The rum definitely adds a sort of butterscotchy rounded sugar accent to it; maybe not my favourite barrel because it makes it maybe a bit too sweet. I can see how something similar, but more layered, like a sherry-ba tequila, might work provide a similar effect but better. Still, it's not bad.

Bottle: Poured a deep copper color ale with a medium size dark brown foamy head with some retention and some lacing notes. Aroma of caramelized malt notes with some madeira notes from the Ximinez with some dry fruit notes. Taste is also a mix of dry caramelized malt notes with some madeira notes and dry fruits notes with some faint residual sugar notes. Body is about average with good carbonation with limited discernible alcohol notes. Interesting but not a big fan of the madeira notes.

500mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head—looks really thin. Aroma smells more like a thin porter, with toasted malt, very subdued barrel, and a touch of soft cocoa. Flavour is likewise very subdued, tasting more like a 6% porter, with barely any bourbon and a pretty neutered malt base. Nothing exactly wrong with it, but it’s pretty damn underwhelming and off the mark style-wise.

750mL bottle, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma has plenty of pear brandy, juicy white grapes, and some Belgian yeast. Flavour has booze, pear brandy, white wine, and light Belgian yeast. Driven by the barrels, whereas the Belgian yeast takes a backseat. Not convincing as a Belgian ale, but the barrels are pleasant. It’s okay.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy yellow gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves sticky curtains of soapy lace. Sweet fruity aroma of bready pale malt, orange zest, honeydew melon, pineapple and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, grapefruit, pineapple, honeydew melon, mango and piney hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a slightly creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Solid.

473ml can. Pours a slightly hazy pale straw colour with a small, foamy, long lasting, white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of pale malt, grapefruit, mango and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of biscuity pale malt, mandarin orange, mango, papaya, blueberry and herbal hops in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Juicy, clean and refreshing. An excellent Pilsner.

473ml can. Pours a clear pale gold with a medium, frothy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick, sticky patches of soapy lace. Mild aroma of grainy wheat, orange peel and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat, orange peel, mango and grassy hops in a dry, bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing and crushable.

355 ml can. Pours almost black with moderate head that settles quickly. Aromas of charred peppers, black coffee, rum and roasted malts. Flavors of dark chocolate, hot peppers, slight rum, vanilla, and dry toasted malts. The best iteration so far.
