On tap at Mad Dog, pours a clear copper amber with a small beige head. Aroma is very malty, with bready malt, toasted caramel and some cardboard. Flavour is dry, with bready malt, a hint of caramel and old hops. Old red indeed - it's not very fresh and lively, but not too bad.

On tap at Bad Dog, pours a hazy copper orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out gentle honey and biscuity malt. Flavour is quite clean and dry, with biscuity malt and an ever-so-slight honey sweetness. Dry and drinkable, but forgettable.

On tap at Bad Dog, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma brings out crisp biscuity malt and very subdued hoppiness. Flavour is crisp and biting, with crisp biscuity malt and subdued hops. Nothing much going on here, but it's clean with no flaws.

Has a nice hazy yellow-white body with modest carbonation and good semi-creamy foam on top. Nice mellow juicy hops on the nose. Flavour is soft semi-juicy hops. Full on the mouth. A good hazy IPA, not too sweet nor overbearing, just chill.

Tall can bought from the brewery. Pours with very nice bleach white head and a golden yellow body. The aroma is a nice balance between hop and malt, biscuity yet juicy at the same time. Flavour is a malt forward hoppy affair with hints of caramel. Mouthfeel is full with plenty of oil but not too overpowering, and a medium finish. Quite a nice IPA, drinkable for sure.

Can from the brewery. Pours a tighty white with big carbonation and some okay white head on top. Soft sweet grain aroma, rather faint. Flavour is more grain, a little bit sweet but not too much. Mouthfeel is reasonably full. There isn't much here but it's an okay casual drinking beer, though forgettable.

Can from the brewery. Pours with a very nice white foam and semi cloudy gold with strong carbonation. Lots of honey and malt on the nose, balanced and fresh it seems. Flavour is lots of honey backed by some good beer malt. Mouthfeel is pretty full, dry finish too. This one just works well, nothing too unique but it's all just a nice beer.

Can bought from the brewery. I broke you in the canyon, I drowned you in that lake. You, a snake I would trample, only thing I'd not embrace. Pours with big white foam on top of a reasonably carbonated lighter brown liquid; smells of vegetably hops, no distinction. You couldn't dam that river, and maybe I don't give a damn anyway. The flavour is an oozing malt affair with plenty of oily hops, no distinction, wonky murky stuff just spilling over. Medium finish, plenty of oily mouthfeel. Okay overall but nonetheless not bright, just a bit of kind of sludge. Perfect for Alice in Chains, but somehow if I wasn't randomly listening to it.... here they come to snub the rooster, my frustration. Meh. Don't OD on this, ya hear?

Can bought from the little brewery shop on the north edge of Sooke. Nice brown body pour, a bit of carbonation and okay foam on top. Them bones, man! Vegetably malts on the nose, not too appetizing nor exciting. Flavour is amber malts with nothing more, crackery jack et cetera medium biscuit. A bit thin on the mouth. Okay amber-ish ale, rather boring, they got better stuff on offer.
