Basically black. Thick head. Aroma is orangey first, and a bit minty. Quite chocoately, medium bitterness, medium body. That roasty accent comes through nicely, though I'd prefer that the orange jumped out a bit more. Pretty good.

473mL can, pours a deep dark brown with a medium tan head. Nose has plenty of roasted malt, reasonably potent earthy hops, and a touch of dry cocoa. Flavour is pretty bitter, with a solid roasted malt base with quite bitter earthy hops. Great balance, with great roast and ample hoppy bitterness. Surprisingly excellent.

Medium brown-black colour with a fairly thick head. The aroma on this has a coffee note, maybe a whiff of smoke. Medium body, fairly dry in the finish, which brings out that coffeeish complexity. Only a little bit of residual sugar, but it's pretty well balanced. Pretty well made, if you think of it more like a dry black ale...I don't really think this captures what a good lager should feel like but it's a solid beer.
