650 ml bottle. Pours a clear dark copper color with light head. Aromas of candied grapefruit. pine and bready malts. Flavors of bitter pine and toasted malts with a fruity backing. Clean and simple, but there are so many others just like this...

Bottle - Caramel and a touch of spice. Deep dark brown with a small white head. Spicy grains and some caramel. More like a Vienna lager.

On tap at White Sails, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out pretty restrained notes of toasted malt, barely any hops despite the IBU. Flavour is certainly more punchy in the hop department, with lots of roasted malt and even more astringent piney hops. A bit harsh even for the style, but it works out pretty well nonetheless. Solid.

On tap at White Sails, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma brings out loads of chocolate upfront, followed by a dry toasty malt backbone. Flavour is syrupy and chocolate-dominating, with lots of cocoa and a slight bitter astringency on the finish. Syrupy palate, which is pretty nice but makes it a tad cloying. Decent stuff.

On tap at White Sails, pours a deep dark copper brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out light oak, old coffee grounds and Belgian yeast. Flavour is authentic, with notes of Belgian yeast, oak and light coffee grounds. Clean, dry and very flavourful, especially for a 3.6% beer. Very good.

On tap at White Sails, pours a clear golden with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out piney hops and very crisp biscuity malt that tends to dominate. Flavour is very citric, with lots of piney and citrus hops, and a thin biscuity malt backbone. Much more citrusy and hop-forward than the nose suggests. Low sweetness and overall malt component, which is fine by me. A little astringent on the finish, but it works well.

Draft - Dark chocolate and dark fruit. Jet black brown with a decent brown head. Fruity, dark chocolate and boozy finish. Fruity and boozy for sure, but quite nice.
