(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours basically black with a thin but active tan head and some lace. Aroma is crazily caramel, smells exactly like opening up a caramel candy with a light coating of salt, some soft chocolate malts, light roast with a bit of acidity. Flavour follows the nose in that salted caramel is truly the dominant flavour, there's solid sweetness but some good salinity for balance and a light acidity to the roast, dusty chocolate and soft berries underpin the adjunct, subtle roast bitterness into the finish which has lots of lingering salted caramel character. Light to medium oily body, low carbonation. Kind of ridiculous but actually unique and fun pastry stout. Half a small can was plenty but much enjoyed.

All head in either a cool or weird way. Pure chocolate. Chocolate mouse in a liquid form. More mousse than beer.

750mL bottle, pours an opaque diarrhea brown with a large dark brown head. Aroma is full of sludgy chocolate, earthy nuts, and chalk. Flavour is ridiculous, with lots of bittersweet dark chocolate mousse chunks dominating. There are literally floating chunks of chocolate in here. Can't really detect any bourbon. This is honestly like a dark chocolate milkshake, but with some bitterness and earthiness. A ridiculous beer that is somewhat enjoyable.

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours black with a small mocha coloured head and lace. Notes of creamy milk chocolate and cocoa powder, moderate toasty coconut, soft coffee, creamy nuts (pistachio if you know it...), vanilla accents but bourbon is very soft compared to the macadamia version released at the same time, lightly sweet finishing dry and chocolatey with smooth coconut and lingering nutty, lighty dusty roast. Very light alcohol warmth, soft bitterness. Medium-full body, creamy, softly carbonated. Lovely imp stout, especially as a shelfie in a small can!

(355ml can from L'Axe du Malt, Quebec City) Pours black with a small medium tan head. Aroma of moderately roasted malt, slight smoky edge to the burnt grain (or wood), caramel sweetness, moderate bourbon that is a little tangy before getting air and rounds out after, nice floral vanilla note, nuts are fairly soft, . Flavour of roasted malt with dark caramel sweetness, lightly smoky burnt trains, dark chocolate hints, clear presence of sweet woody bourbon with moderate floral vanilla boosted by the adjuncts, slightly creamy toasted nut profile in the middle (macadamia makes sense but it's not uniquely so), touch of coffee, semi-dry finish with smooth nutty vanilla creaminess, balanced bourbon/wood and lingering lightly bitter chocolate roast. Medium bodied, oily, softly carbonated. Well-crafted imp stout, maybe not quite the adjunct richness I'd like but good balance and barrel-ageing.
