Pale amber, slight haze, medium head. Lots of allium hops, light biscuitiness, mellow fruity hop notes as well. On the palate, fairly fruity with a lightish bready malt note, like the crust on wonderbread sort of thing.

Slight haze, thin head, quite pale. Some stone fruit, light pear, simple pale malt base. Light base, touch of allium in the hop, light orange, so I’d say a light take on XPA.

Opaque, yellow. Thin head. Lots of grapefruit, good clean malt, balanced with clean pale malts and lots of hop…a fresh fruity hop.

Golden and bright, with a thin head. Mellow malt nose, some toasty, some caramellish sweetness. Decently dry.

Opaque, slight pinkish note, thin head. Complex stone fruit nose, for my money mostly plums. Light sourness and apricot brightness, light plum for nuance.

Dark brown. Pretty big head. Lots of roasted sweet potato in there…big sugars, some toast, a but of roast. I have to ask, though, what's the point of raw sweet potatoes? Sugar? Gimme the roasted stuff.

On tap at Mixed Culture, Canmore. Not bad, weedy hop, sweet pale malt. Has a bit of fruitiness. Good balance.

Can. Slight haze, pale amber. Thin head. Quite piney on the nose, with a lot of sticky malt under there. The palate has a lot of malt, too. But it's not overdose level. Lots of chewiness both malt and hop, and a bit of alcohol in the finish to burly this brew up a bit. Arguably, to me at least, this isn't nearly as chewy as the SD stuff and is more like the PNW stuff from 10-15 years ago. But whichever, it's a nice little West Coast IPA.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold-straw colour with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that leaves soapy curtains of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of crackery pale malt, blood orange, peach, mango, pineapple, cantaloupe, funky yeast and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of bready pale malt, blood orange, lemon peel, pineapple, cantaloupe, mango, peach, funky yeast and light alcohol in a dry, bitter, piney hop finish. Medium body with a smooth, oily texture and average carbonation. Juicy, tasty and enjoyable.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark brown, almost black with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, earth and coffee. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, lactose, caramel, dark chocolate and earth in a dry, mild bitter, coffee finish. Medium body with a sticky, creamy, smooth, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and ABV is well hidden.
