Bicycle Craft Brewery was created from humble beginnings, much like many of the craft breweries before us. It started with a home brew kit, a passion for craft beer and a love for creating something delicious out of all natural ingredients. Founded in 2014, Fariborz and Laura wanted to share their passion for delicious, natural, down to earth beer. Their interest in new flavours and pairings have created some unique seasonal beers and ensured their mainstays are delicious every time they're poured.

Together with a hard working team, Bicycle Craft Brewery is about natural, well-crafted and delicious beer. Sourcing locally grown ingredients when available, donating all of our spent grain to local farms, and working with the community on collaboration beers, fundraisers and pairings, we pride ourselves on being your down to earth local brewery. All of our unfiltered ales are a true testament to the bicycle and the wild places you discover along the way.

Saffron Equinox from Bicycle Craft Brewery

Pours a cloudy golden-orange colour with a warm cap and good thin creamy lacing. Cereal grain smell with some yeast, spices and orange notes. Fruity malt taste with decent hops in the finish. The mouthfeel is kind of creamy with a nice mild dryness. A pretty nice spiced unfiltered brew. Quite original. Just not sure what saffron feels like (smell and taste).

A reddish copper ale with a thin lacing off light mocha head. In aroma, light caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, light cherry notes, pleasant. In mouth, a rather herbaceous caramel malt with light grassy hops, light mineral notes, OK. On tap at brewery.

Velocipede India Pale Ale from Bicycle Craft Brewery

Pours a fairly clean deeper amber colour with a frothy warm cap, good retention and some foamy lacing. Hoppy nose with grapefruit and orange notes. The taste has more of the zest of these citrus with some nice bitterness holding through, showing some mild grain in the aftertaste. I prefer this one then the other Ottawa IPA I had last night (Whitewater Class V). Becomes hazy by the last pour and some hints of burnt malts show up in the taste.

Snow Leopard APA from Bicycle Craft Brewery

A lightly hazed golden ale with a thin white head. In aroma, nice crisp biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, grapefruit pulp, nice and smooth. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with resinous floral hops, light citrus pulp, light catty notes, nice with an interesting profile.

A hazed dark brown gruit with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light licorice, molasses, nutmeg, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light pine needles, licorice, light molasses, OK.

A dark stout with a very thin brown head. In aroma, sweet chocoalte malt wit light coffee and some salty licorice notes. In mouth, a sweet milk chocolate with faint licorice, vanilla, thin bodied, OK. Minigrowler from brewery.

Growler - Carmel, twig and some pine hops. Clearish dark copper brown with a small beige head. Nice up front bitterness, caramel, light chocolate and a light hoppy notes. Odd but OK.

Draught @ Sir John A., Ottawa. Pours cloudy amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and hops, with mild notes of citrus and yeast. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of citrus and yeast and malty touches. Rough, bitterish and estery aftertaste. Easy to drink and quite refreshing. Not bad, although not exactly top notch.
