A rustic belgian ale. quite yeasty, alot of cereals, some light herbs, and wild honey. Murky yellow, full mouth feel, soft carb. Medium bitterness, lots of yeast in the end, with a semi sweet herbal thing going on.

Black pour, medium light brown head. Aroma is very roasty, but subtly sweet at the same time. Nice soft cocoa powder, hints of dark coffee, even a touch of sweet licorice. Silky mouth feel, medium carb. Medium bitterness, good roasty finish, more cocoa, and coffee, with a semi sweet end. really dug this one.

Shacklands Saison Davenport 6.4% Matte gold with thick soapy slightly off-white foam. Dusty wheat and slight spice aroma. Medium to full bodied with rounded carbonation. Pretty smooth. Nice slightly spicy flavor with a bit of a tang. Kind of standard.

On tap at Craft Toronto. Pours hazy yellow with white head. Aroma is mainly spicy saison yeast. Flavour is similar. Very harsh and unrefined. Perhaps a good saison for philistines, not well executed.

A golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light fruity esters, light banana esters, cloves, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity biscuit malt with grassy hops, light mineral notes, pleasant and smooth. On tap at Laylow.

On tap at Shacklands, pours a deep dark mahogany with a small beige head. Aroma brings out cloying syrup, caramel, and toffee. Flavour is a cloyingly sweet mess, with lots of syrup, caramel and nastily sweet esters. This is hilariously bad. Embarrassing to put out product this off-the-mark.

On tap at Shacklands, pours a hazy dull yellow, little head. Nose has some strange off-notes, with saison yeast, light phenols, and plastic. Flavour is quite revolting, with plastic, phenols, and saison yeast. Something went brutally wrong here.

On tap at Shacklands, pours a clear pale blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite estery, with candied sugar, phenols, and Belgian yeast. Flavour is just disgusting, with phenols and who knows what other off-notes. This is rancid.
