Rich muddied brown coloured body with an amber glow and a very thick tan head. Aroma of honey, malt, toffee, caramel and a good deal of oak and vanilla and a ton of alcohol still noticeable. Full-bodied; Flavours of cereal, malt, oak, vanilla, honey, toffee, spices, coriander seed and a lot of alcohol to finish. Aftertaste is rich and very full-bodied with a ton of malt, toffee, caramel and especially alcohol warmth around. Overall, a nice beer that has a LOT to it, especially the texture with alcohol and depth, but this is more of a quad than a tripel, still, nice to try here in Hawaii, but this is a bad place to try this one - especially in the summer. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Manama Market in Haleiwa, O’ahu, Hawaii on 21-August-2016 for US$9,49 sampled in my hotel room here in Waikiki a few hours later on 21-August-2016.

Clearish golden coloured body with a thick, four centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of super fresh hops, grapefruit, pine and earth - super strong with a lot of residual sugars and alcohol noticeable as well. Full-bodied; Strong hop flavours at first that literally taste like a hop juice with all the sugars noticeable. Aftertaste shows more well-rounded flavours with earth, pine, grass, hay and malt with the sugars and the hops. Overall, a very nice and hop/sugar-centric beer with a good finish and complexity at the end, full of alcohol as well. Nice to sample even West of the Left Coast! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Malama Market in Haleiwa, O’ahu, Hawaii on 21-August-2016 for US$7,88 sampled a day later in my hotel room in Waikiki, O’ahu, Hawaii on 22-August-2016.

Bottle shared by Joes. Hazy orange color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, sweetness, candy sugar, brown sugar. Meh. Body and carbonation weren’t bad though.

Bottle. Golden copper color. Aroma of caramel, mild pine and resinous hop. Soft taste of bitter caramelised malt, pine, herbs, some grapefruit and a very bitter finish. Allright.

355ml bottle into shaker. Cloudy golden beer with solid white head. laces well. Active tiny bubbles visible. Mild aroma of paper and malt. Light body, minimal fizz. Early sweet taste. Finishes with cashew nutty sweetness and alcohol notes. There’s a very late aspirin bitterness. Hoppy, West Coast USA, serious drinking.
