5/10/2023. Can shared by G&E. Pours hazy pale golden orange with a frothy white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, a little boozy, caramel, yeast, touch soapy and metallic. Quite sweet, moderate bitterness. Medium body, oily, average carbonation. Just a little harsh but it's not bad.

Tasting at Oakes' Manor, bottle, possibly 5 years old
Cloudy dark amber colour. Caramel, moderately sweet, some grains; it doesn't have much characcter, it doesn't taste llike many freeze distilled beers, but it's decent.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark amber orange with a small beige head. Aroma brings out caramel bready malt, some candied notes, and some red fruits. Flavour is full of oranges, lager yeast, candied sugar, and booze. Very malty, sugary, and caramely. Decent, but rather rough.

This is amber, with a bit of haze. Kind of a worty aroma, On the palate, same thing. Just a sweet thing, but no nuance. So it's got a bit of worty stuff, but meh, not much complexity. Just a fairly simple sweet, oxidized thing. So too much oxidation.

Bottle - Sweet and some caramel with a touch of vegetal notes. Dark caramel with a decent white head. Dark caramel and toffee with an odd finish.

Bottle: Poured a light copper color ale with a large off white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of sweet caramelized malt notes with some candy-like ester. Taste is a mix of sweet caramelized malt with loads of candy-like ester and light warming alcohol. Body is about average with good carbonation with some noticeable alcohol notes. Took a while to get used to the candy-like notes but I finally ended-up quite liking this beer.

Bottle: Poured a murky brown color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of residual sugar, light warming alcohol with some caramelized grainy notes is OK. Taste is a good mix of caramelized sugar notes with some residual sugar, dry fruits and some light warming alcohol. Body is about average for style with medium carbonation. Not bad coming from a new brewery and for a style that is not often brewed.
