On tap. Pours a clear amber-brown with a small, creamy, long lasting, ecru head that laces. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel and a hint of nuts. Sweet flavour of grainy malt, bread, caramel, light chocolate and a hint of nuts with a slight bitter grassy hop finish. Light body with a watery texture and soft carbonation.

Gold, no head, not much on the nose. Sweet pale malts, a touch of grassy hop, Still sweet. Far too sweet for Czech style.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear golden blonde with a tiny head. Aroma is pretty laid back, with straw and a hint of grass. Flavour is laid back, with straw, vegetal notes, and herbal grassy notes. Not a good pils by any means - lacking hops and any character really. Vegetal and lacking cohesion.

Very mild on the roast, quite sweet, it is a smooth drinking beer. However, it could use a bit more body and fullness to be a top notch stout. 650ml sobeys bottle.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver; 6% ABV
Black color, beige head. Not beer, I feel like I’m drinking a good thick coffee, very roasty, with mild residual sweetness, very light malt acidity, a bit ashy in the final.
Quite nice, hopped Stout or Black IPA…

On tap. Pours a light Amber with moderate head. Aromas of bananas, cloves, and a little dill. Flavors follow same with additional creamy dill, camomile, and dry toast. Interesting but a bit of an odd jumble.

Clean golden color. Biscuity malts, with vanilla, banana bread, cloves; good body, with limited residual sweetness.
Not the profile I expected from Sorachi Ace and from the description, but it’s an interesting beer.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out Belgian yeast upfront, which reveals lots of fruity esters, along with piney hops and residual sweetness. Flavour is pronounced on the fruity esters, with lots of banana upfront, followed by clove, and a pronounced hoppy bitterness and alcohol feeling on the finish. Fairly rough and too much banana for my liking. Certainly not a top tier example of this hybrid style. Needs work.

Draft - Sweet tropical fruit and some citrus, hazy gold with a rich white head. Nice light tropical fruit and citrus with a dry sweet finish. Not bad.
