Brown with reddish tint in the light, medium head. Toasty, creamy, good malt complexity. Touch of acidity. Solid porter.

Golden colour, and bright. Medium head. Moderate bitterness but also a touch of butter. A fair bit of biscuity pale malt character. But all told that bit of diacetyl is going to be a barrier for me.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver
Hazy pale blond colour, small head. Some aroma of malt, ok, not bad. Decent malt flavour, delicate, sweetish, with a touch of hay and honey; correct bitterness, although no special hop character appears.
Actually decent.

On tap. Pours a dark brown with moderate head. Aromas of sweet roasted malts and a bit of coffee. Flavors of same with coffee notes more prominent plus a muddled fruitiness. Creamy and malty. Pretty much the way a Black and Tan should be IMHO. Easy to drink

Bottle from Ucluelet Liquor. Has a soft pink colour and a bit of haze. Bubbly head. Has a jammy raspberry note, and some nice tartness. It's okay, just a clean if not so exciting sour raspberry beer.
