On tap at Farmstrong, pours a hazy blonde with a small white head. Aroma is subdued, with light piney hops, some citrus and biscuity malt. Flavour is a little more robust, with piney hops, some citrus and toasted biscuity malt. Rather abrasive bitterness on the finish. Nothing special but competently brewed.

On tap at Farmstrong, pours a cloudy dull yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lightly smoked malt, saison yeast and toasted bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with saison yeast, light smokiness and toasted biscuity malt. Light estery character, but not too much sweetness. Nicely done.

On tap at Farmstrong, pours a clear pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of grassiness, some herbal notes and light straw. Flavour is along the same lines, with grass, herbaceous notes and straw. Clean and drinkable, but nothing exciting.

Draft pour pint at Special Brews, as part of their Skagit Velley Showcase event. Proud of our local ingredients! Pours a gloomy copper color with a lasting foam head. Very malt heavy pale here. Earthy, bold malts on the aroma, with the flavor a little more on the sweet side. All leads to a lingering, growing bitter finish. Toasty caramel. Banana bread? Wheat like bready notes. Nowhere near my expectation on what this beer would be like. Not bad, but not the best showcase for the potential in my opinion. Interesting, and unique.

Bottle. Dark brown. Thin head. The aroma is fruity, rich molasses, date sugars, burnt pekmez...all those random dark fruity impressions. Sweet, lots of deep dark sugars and fruits, with rich roast. Complex, but in a way, that is differentiated from a lot of other impies. For me, that’s a plus.

Hazy amber bubbly head. Earthy, more columbus than amarillo...too yeasty and too malty but ok.

Dull brown, cocoa, chocolate, moderate bitterness. Standard tasty porter - you can’t say the character is anything special but there’s nothing wrong with it at all.

Draft at the brewery. Murky dullish not very attractive. Smells a bit phenolic but tastes better, bitter, not clean, but drinkable.

Draft 7 oz pour at Toronado, Seattle. Part of their Rye barrel event. Alright. I don’t give ratings like this often. I tried to like this beer, but this is really bad. Golden apple juice color pour. The aroma on this is sickening. Vomit, grapes, and maybe some whiskey underneath that. I can smell this from 3 feet away. Flavor tries to save with some grape sour up front, whiskey, but light, apple, and a dry, really rough finish. This does get a little better after a while, but barely. Yuck. I’ve had good beers from you guys, but seriously, why didn’t you call Matt, and say, "Sorry man, we fucked up." Definitely not for me.

This was a surprising beer. It’s got all the classic expressions of a solid Pilsner. It’s not outstanding and there’s nothing special about it necessarily. But it’s clean, slightly crisp and holy crap it’s 3.7% ABV. This is the beer you fill a cooler with and take to the lake. Great stuff.
