A hazed golden ale with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light guava and tropical fruit, light acidic notes, Epsom salts, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light guava, light acidity, a bit of Epsom salts, OK.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color porter with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice chocolate notes with some vanilla and bourbon notes also coming through. Taste is a nice mix of black cholate, light residual sugar with some vanilla and bourbon notes. Body is full with good carbonation with no discernible alcohol notes. Enjoyable barrel-aged Baltic porter with nice dessert like notes with added flavours from the barrels.

Can from the LCBO. Usually check ratings before most purchases, but you had me at Mr Canoehead. Hazy medium copper with a large dense cream coloured head that fades slowly leaving tight lace. Nose is bread, earth, brown sugar, some grass and pine. Light caramel sweetness with a medium- grassy bitterness. Skewed more towards the bitter side than I was expecting for a Red ale, but tasty. Mouth is medium and creamy with slightly soft carbonation and a dry finish. 7+/4/7+/3+/15 When life makes less sense than a Supertramp album, people call for one man. Mr. Canoehead.

On tap at The Common, pours a clear copper golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, biscuity malt and some cardboard. Flavour is along the same lines, with earthy hops and old bready malt. Not very invigorating. It's alright.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a creamy, light brown head. Nice lacing. Scents include sweet molasses, cocoa and cereal. First swig was a little sweet with flavours of smoke, molasses and a light perfume flavour. Finish is nice and burnt with smokey flavour lingering.

Aroma of roasted malt with some black chocolate notes with light green pepper notes also noticeable. Taste is also a mix of roasted malt notes with some black chocolate notes and some green peppers notes which are more or less pleasant. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable but I am guessing green peppers notes would be less prevalent if beer had more time to ferment.

This IPA poured a medium amber colour with a off white, creamy head. Nice lacing. Scents include grass, hay and cereal. First swig was quite hoppy with flavours of spruce trees most prominent. Finish is hoppy as hell with a little caramel and cereal flavours on top of the bitter palate. Too hoppy for me.

This lager poured a nice amber colour with a off white, creamy head. Nice lacing. Scents include light malt, caramel and cereal. First swig was nice and smooth with flavours of light toast, light hop and an earthy taste. Finish is slightly toasty malt wise with a minimal hop bitterness that lingers.
