Bottle from the brewery. Hazy medium amber with a large off white head that leaves lots of lace. Nose is pine forward with some citrus, spice, and a light toffee. Medium bitter throughout with a light caramel backing. Lots of grapefruit and a light bit of pepper in the finish. Mouth is medium and silky with soft carbonation. Nice IPA.

1L bottle from the brewpub. Cloudy medium amber with a small off white head that leaves a little patchy lace. Nose is fresh grass and citrus with the grapefruit dominant and a light toffee background. Light sweet start supports a big bitter grapefruit middle and a long dry bitter finish. Medium slick mouth with soft carbonation. Nice fresh IPA.

On tap at the brewpub. The cloudy milky honey color isn’t that appetizing. Nice hoppy aroma with a good dose of wheat. Sharp carbonation, the taste is weizen cloves, light banana with a sharp bitter hoppy bite near the finish with the mosaic dry-hopping really coming through. Once it warmed up more weizen quality came through, nice it just loses points on looks/body.

On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy orange gold. A nice hoppy tropical fruit aroma, citrus & mango. A hint of buttery diacetyl, pretty hoppy with a good flavor - shame about the off-flavor. This one could have been good.

On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy gold with a filmy white head. An earthy aroma with a dash of rye. The taste is tannic bitterness, woodsy, a bit of chocolate, and a bitter finish. It’s bitter but in a flavorless way just generically bitter. Bleh.

On tap at the brewery tasting rooms. Bright amber with scummy cream head; sweet aroma; citrusy taste with some sultanas and a grainy body; and a dry and pleasantly bitter finish. Rather muted in style.

Pours brown. Espresso evident on nose but it’s balanced by robust roast malt. A medium bitter coffee finish. Somewhat of a soft palate. Well-balanced ingredients. Cask Days 2013.

A dark brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, bitter chocolate over coffee grind and chili pepper. In mouth, a smooth chocolate malt with light coffee notes, nice and smooth. Cask Days 2013.
