Can pour from Andover Classic Wines. It's a pretty, hazy dark red-purple with nice sparkle, no head and no lacing. Aroma is very subtle sweet berry and mildly tart fruit. Taste is strong mix of tart fruit, sweet blueberry and grape with mild honey. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and crisp, dry finish as taste with lingering yeast. Overall, weird how it tastes so strong yet has virtually no aroma. Decent complexity though don't know that the lactose contributes much.

Pours deep strawberry papaya until the chunks... vast amounts what appear to be mango, pineapple and banana... chunks sink to the bottom of an English pint. Coconut, pineapple and banana aromas. Tart with underripe berries, underripe mango, underripe pineapple, underripe banana, and dragonfruit. Tart and chunky - interesting and drinkable but could also serve as a good dressing on a summer salad.

Pour is a clear chestnut brown with a large tan head. Aroma is a real nice roasted nut with brown ale malt sweetness. Flavor is more of that brown ale malt with a little molasses. It's not as sweet as I thought it was was going to be. Drinks more like a amped up brown ale rather than a Biere de Garde. Still this was one of those beers that the aroma was better than the flavor.

Pours murky celadon and algae into a tulip. Looks gruesome. Sweet and sour citrus aromas. Soft with sour pineapple, orange and lemon turning to juniper and anise in the lasting finish.

Pours bright apricot into a snifter. White head with little retention recedes to nothing. Ginger, cinnamon and pear aromas. Sharp and tart with underripe pear and cinnamon upfront turning to sweet creamy gingerbread in the dry, lasting finish. Yummy indeed.

16 oz. can. Date code: 4/10/20. Yep, it has been in my fridge a while. I actually bought this by mistake thinking it was a different beer. So let’s see how this goes. Aroma is rose petals mixed with tart yogurt. Flavor of lactobacillus, flowers, and plenty of salt. Massive tart finish.

Pours guava into a tulip. Pink head with little retention recedes to hug rim. Apples, raisins, cherry and cinnamon aromas. Sharp and tart with clove, nutmeg, and cinnamon upfront turning to tart cranberry, fig and apples in the lasting finish. Wow - all over the place, but an adventure.

Batch 456. Deep brown body, medium, quickly dissipating beige head. Nose initially banana, then roast and strawberry. The body is sharply carbonated and nicely blended, with banana, strawberry, cocoa, and lactose all prominent. That said, this isn't really an imperial stout, as the acidic, woody base doesn't provide much heft, and the beer is therefore not necessarily anything but thin. Enjoyable but, ultimately, I again had a hard time rating the actual beer part of this equation.
