Tap in the very old fashioned Zoiglstube. Deep golden color, slightly hazy. Full bodied, malty. Firm flowery hopbitter flavor with chewing gum, wood and orange. Somehwat lacking in aroma, mut more than makes up for it in the warm, hopbitter flavor. Hint of cinnamon in the aftertaste. Best Zoigl I’ve had.

Tap, half a litre for € 1,50 at the Zoiglstube. Orange blonde, slightly hazy. Orange and a touch of yeast in the aroma. Earthy flowery hopbitter flavor. Chewing gum. Orange. Slightly yeasty. Cellary. Long slightly earthy yeasty bitter aftertaste. Very drinkable. Tap. Pale amber color. Floral hopbitter aroma. Malty bready flavor with hints of smoke. Floral notes. Don’t know if the smoked flavor was intended or an infection, but it works out fine.

Tap @ hotel. Golden color, slightly hazy. Lovely flowery, buttery aroma. Malty, flowery hopbitter flavor with hints of flour, orange and butter, lingering on in the long aftertaste, along with a touch of bakers yeast and chewing gum. Good! A sample in oktober 2009 confirmed the quality of this beer.

RBESG 19. FOR MICHAEL! Thank you Ryan for bringing and sharing this! Partykeg. Shiny, if murky orange-golden body with a white head. Full, pleasant taste, honey, orange and yeastiness. Lean, sweetish malt-driven smooth taste, extremely smooth, flowery, some clean yeastiness, no bitterness, maybe trace tartness. Not perhaps in the best of shapes, but still quite likable IMO.

Tap from a 5l can. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is grainy, bready, a bit earthy, farty, butterscotch. Taste is grainy, bready, a bit sweetish, again a bit farty. Silky mouthfeel with fine-bubbled carbonation. Classic Zoigl, which is a bit special as always.
