Biggish offwhite head. Amber reddish body. Sweet syrupy fruity aroma with spicy toffee and wood notes. Some alcohol can be deteced. Sweet sugary sharpish alcoholic toffee and candy taste. A touch watery. Peppery, notes of wood. Aftertaste is slightly stale and tobaccoish. Leaves the lips sticky. Good, but not great. A bit too sweet. (0.33l bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp.)

Medium offwhite head. Light amber body. Fruity lightly rubbery aroma, very strange. Sweetish half-watery wooden fruity taste with honey and grain notes. No real aftertaste. Nice session beer, with some complexity. (0.33l bottle from Dorstvlegel, Antwerp.)

Bottled. Very dark murku brown colour with small beige head. A lot of caramel, malts, riped dark fruits and some hops in aroma. Flavour is quite the same. Wellbalanced flavourwise, but felt slightly watery.

Bottle. Golden orange, heavily carbonated, low golden blanket head. Tropical esters, minerals, sweet aroma. Slippery body, sweet pineapple and green mango notes, sugar, hayish and grainy malt lurks behind. Metallic finish, watery aftertaste. Cant say that I am thrilled.

Bottled. Copper-colored, hazy beer with a creamy, off-white head. Raspberries, caramel, fruits and cellar in the aroma. The flavor is fruity as well, with cellar-notes and some caramel. The body could be fuller, but it is a nice beer. Rating: 7-4-7-3-14-3.5. 060801

Bottle, at De Grotte Witte Arend. A hazy one, brown in color and with a decent beige head. Slightly milky nose, with dried fruits and some caramel. Sourish and milky flavor, lots of prune jam, some dark plums. Full body, decent carbonation. Seems off, still drinkable, but letting my old rating count. This rating: 5-3-5-3-11-2.7. 110429

Dull red-amber beer with dense amberish head. Very fruity nose, plums, peaches, nuts & raisins. Sweet taste, heavily moulded by dark, aromatic malts. Fruity, bit more towards to earthy or leafy impressions than the nose. In general, it tastes very young/green. Medium bodied, slight burning sensation. Pretty ho-hum beer. The distributor needed a brown next to their Nello’s blond, no doubt - fodder for attracting Japanese yens. Needs a second try after some aging.
