(Bottle, 0.44 l, thanks brunnsbe, 20190602) The beer poured amber and nearly clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had grass, fruitiness and caramel. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, grass, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A decent hoppy brew with caramel notes.

0.33 l bottle brought by Goran from South Africa 🌍 shared with Višnja 666 and Pilot Goran. Dark brown, medium off-white to tan head. Alcohol in aroma, also dark malts, dried fruits. Roasty aroma, some caramel or honey 🍯 very sweet and yeasty. Harsh. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, moderate finish.

Bottle. The aroma is subtle citrus, straw, and a mild grassy or green hop hint. The taste is old white bread followed by a hint of earthy character. Almost like pine but not exactly. The hop variety is a big question but certainly not bad at all.

Poured from bottle thanks Stacey hazy copper with a white head. Aroma of floral hops resinous pine and faint citrus. Taste is earthy hops and a lingering bitterness.

Super hazy and chunky deep amber coloured body with a copper glow and a large, six centimetre tall very tan head, and as I popped open the cap, some serious bubbles started to emerge. Aroma of tons of biscuits, yeast, grass, bread, flowers, resin, pine and a ton more biscuity malt and pure yeast - nice and fragrant. Medium-bodied; Extremely assertive effervescence; Strong grassy, hay, dry and biscuity flavours at first with a large presence of flowers and hops throughout, all with a relatively easy-to-drink and very well balanced malty quality along with a ton of yeast flavours and a robust finish with alcohol around. Aftertaste shows the bitterness from the hops right at first, gets very dried from the grassy and hay flavours along with some malt, and shows a yeastie and bubbly finish with a robust flavour, perhaps a bit too strong of bread and funk, but ends dry and grassy with a lot of hop bitterness and absolutely no sugars at all. Overall, a nice beer, especially considering that I carted it literally halfway around the world and have been sitting on it for about two years now! I sampled this 440 mL bottle purchased from TOPS Cape Quarter in Green Point, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa on 14-August-2015 for ZAR25,99 sampled at home in Washington on the other side of the world on 20-June-2017 as winter begins in South Africa and summer starts up here!

Bottle shared at level 42, picked up in Cape Town. It pours cloudy deep mahogany brown with a medium beige head. The aroma is soft, sweet, estery, candy, pear, sugared plums, wood and some booze. The taste is slick, sweet, sweet fruits, tangy date, sugared plum, raisin, wood, vanilla, leather, touch of nail varnish and some warming alcohol. Pretty sweet and rich on the finish. Medium + body and average carbonation. Balance is not quite there, but there are good elements to it.

Bottle split at L42, thanks to Paulo, 23/01/17. Mahogany brown with a decent light tan cap. Nose is wood, toffee, fruit cake mix, light spice. Taste comprises treacle toffee, dates, figs, spice, dark malts, light wooded tones, toasted brown sugar. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light warming boost. Decent enough easy drinking Belgian strong but perhaps fails to deliver a little on its hefty ABV.
