Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks Stas & Max. Very dark brown with a beige head. Aroma of roast, some coffee, a bit of hops. Roasty flavor, sweetish, with a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Decent. Not a lot of chocolate though.

RBESG 2016 in Barcelona. On tap at La Mes Petita Cerveseria. It was blonde, cold and refreshing, and I was very thirsty after a brisk walk - so it went down as smoothly as you possibly could want. Fairly dry.

10th July 2016: On-tap at La Mes Petita Cerveseria, Barcelona with the RBESG guys. Golden pour, thin white head. Light malts and weak citrus notes in the aroma, taste follows along the same lines, semi-sweet malts with a semi-sour citrus tone. Slight bitter finish.

7th July 2016. Bottle shared during the RBESG in Barcelona. Getting into the swing of it now, drinking the ’on-tap’ beers first, then selecting an interesting bottle or two/three/four/five etc, etc. This was another hazy golden pour, a little duller and darker than most so far though, the head an off white affair. Malts rule this brew in both the nose and taste, some light herbal notes linger around and a mini hop presence stops the beer from being overly sweet.
