Bottle, small bubbly head, hazy deepish orange colour, greenish herbal aroma with green tea and a hint of ripe citrus, flavor of ripe citrus with a bit of tea, mellow medium green herbal bitterness, nicely balanced. Nice, different and highly enjoyable.

Bottle, stable creamy bubbly head, cloudy deep brown with just a touch of reddish hues, aroma of chocolate cake maltiness and a bit of candy, flavor of toffee and candy with a light noticable herbal Bitterness. Not really interesting but well made.

Hazy copper pour. Aroma is of citrus hops and caramel malt. The flavor has mild to moderate bitterness with citrus and grainy, caramel malt.

Bottle from Kansai Station. Pours a deep, hazy, glowing orange. Pretty. Not at all the color I expected but I guess they are using some darker malts. Nose is citrus, lemony, green tea, light biscuity malts. Delicate. Flavor is more caramel malt and fruity, herbal green tea. Rich, lovely malt flavor that I am not sure is the best to show off the tea, but tastes great. Seems like Munich and some carapils. Light hops, tea comes though but does not dominate. A really well balanced beer that is tasty and anything but gimmicky in flavor.

Pale golden with a white head - Malt and spicy aroma - Malt body with a spicy corriander flavour- The spicy corriander flavour goes into the finish with some yeasty notes - This was nice

Happy 20th Anniversary Baird! Glad I got to try this on tap... Baird BB 20 Grit Ale Golden Ale 7% 30 IBU Baird does a golden ale for their 20th and SwanLake a pils for their 23rd?!?! What’s up with that? Anyways, opaque gold with a dense and massive head (there seemed to be foam issues with the tap). The aroma is your classic grainy citrus. The carbonic bit is way to aggressive and for me severely detracted from the beer - maybe I’d have been better off getting a bottle to go. The taste is tougher and less balanced than the golden ale I had fromKBC yesterday. Too gassy but ok.

Bottle from Yamaoka. Citrusy hop nose, grapefruit, lemon, orange, piny resins, peach-like esters, touch of honey. Muddy cloudy dark gold with a low head. Very fruity, grapefruit, stone fruits, apple, honey, resin. Gritty indeed. Sweet and fruity, lots of flavor. Not really sure what the aim is, though. Kind of indistinct. Body is full but crisp. I like it, but don't really know what they are aiming for here.
