On June 14, 1898 Eugène De Ro brewed his first top fermentation beer. Four years later he also started brewing bottom fermentation beer. His beers were such a hit that ‘Haecht’s Dairy Company and Brewery’ became one of the best Belgian breweries in 1913. In the fifties and sities there were numerous small takeovers and the Haacht Brewery beers were being distributed across the entire country. Thanks to the take-overs of breweries in the south of the Netherlands and northern France, Haacht Brewery set foot ashore in neighboring countries. In 1990, Haacht Brewery started the complete replacement of its production apparatus; the whole process was completed around 2015. Today, Haacht Brewery is a state-of-the-art brewery, inspired by its history and at the same time more than ready for the future.

Very pale gold; huge, creamy head. Nose yields ground peanuts, sawdust and liqueur. White candi sugar too. Taste is peach, overexpensive toilet-soap, sweetness, slightly sticky and quite alcoholic. Alcoholburn and -warming effect, quite dry finish. Run-of-the-mill but decent tripel. Original review text: Good white, bit fluffy head over orange-golden beer, with cold haze. Very sweet nose, bananaester, frangiopane and a bit of nutmeg and coriander. Esters galore and DMS in its scallops’ disguise. Coriandersoup, estery, and pretty sweet with orange-ish finish. Very spritzy, fizzy MF, medium bodied. Warming up, alcohol becomes obvious. Dull sweet coriandersoup.

Dark foxy-red; dirty light-brown head, fast dissipating. Nose promesses rich dark malts, but not overwhelming. Bit nutty too. Sweet-bitter at the same time, not very pleasant impression. Nauseating sweet and overly roasted malts. Roasted feature gives a touch of acidity. Medium to full bodied. Hint of alcohol, warming. Aftertaste is long combination of sweet, roasted and alcohol. Never gonna be my favourite. Heavily pushed in Belgium the last year. Not sure why - I even prefer their unfiltered Pilsener.

Amber color. Nice aroma, fruity (banana, peach), spices. Good body strength, malty, spicy. Tastes like a Tripel, but it's a Brune!

Just another pilsener. Typical hoppy skunky aroma. Quite bitter palate. The belgian beertender was surprised that i ordered this Primus instead of Stella Artois. And when i said that i'd never had Primus before and wanted to taste it, he thought that i'd never tasted any belgian beer before. They had to know...

Pale yellow, more slight opaque than hazy. Slight white head. Nose of coriandre, herbal. Taste is coriandre, some other spice as well (paradise seed?), very slight bitterness; retronasal impression of citrus (Pomelo). Refreshing. Overall not the worst wit in existence, though I seem to remember it more bitter, pilsner-like.

Dark golden beer with a sour aroma, and a flavour that is a mixture between a hopped lager and a sour Belgian ale. Overall a good yet different beer, it depends on if you like sour beers.

Quite clear brown color, off-white medium lasting head. Soft chocolate malty aroma. Taste is very soft malty, easy to drink, creamy and watery body. Palate is a bit metallic. Very decent double.
