Description
Our mission is to brew beers built for the venturesome beer drinker, those unafraid to stray from the beaten path of simple flavors established by breweries much larger in size but not in creative energy.
As our name implies, we will be brewing at a slower rate of production than any of these monstrous breweries-designing and creating our hand crafted ales at one relatively slow pace, our "single speed", allowing each to emerge as a small artisanal batch formulated from recipes that include fresh, local, seasonal and organic ingredients.

Six pack cans from HyVee, Ankeny, IA. Copper body with a purple tinge, as expected from the blueberry. A stiff head of foam that's also purple-y. Smell is pretty light, perhaps just a hint of lemon zest and coriander. Taste is a bit zesty, too. Light sourness, but also some clear coriander spice. Lemon and blueberry should make me think of a muffin, but instead it's more of a pink lemonade. Nice summer beer for those who like sours.

4 oz. draft at Iowa TapRoom, Des Moines, IA. Subtle Belgian yeast aroma. Hints of floral hops as well. Flavor shows decent yeast presence, fruit esters, floral and a light bread backbone. A rather dry mouthfeel. Very easy to drink without any issues.

4 oz. draft at Iowa TapRoom, Des Moines, IA. Aroma is subtle grassy wheat, mild hops. The flavor real tame. mild citrus, light grass, wheaty backbone. Mosaic hops, perhaps? The wheat body is light and somewhat refreshing. Very simple hoppy wheat ale.
